Accounting
and auditing are the bread and butter of the traditional accounting practice.
At GCSE we understand, however, that these roles are only a small part
of our overall client service. The watchword is value or value added.
We always try to ask... what can we bring to this client or this assignment?
Of course the balance sheet should balance, but how can we help our clients'
balance sheets look healthier. In many cases this involves bringing our
tax expertise to the forefront or perhaps some business advisory skills.
Although our practice is predominantly dealing with the
family owned or owner/managed enterprise, we also act as auditors for
a number of publicly traded corporations. This includes being on the front
line of taking a company public.
So whether a family-owned business needs the "hand
holding" of an accountant that can address the wide range of issues
faced by such a client, or alternatively a public company requires the
more traditional role of an auditor, GCSE has the understanding and knowledge
to go with the job. |
